Well, my dear sister won the lottery. The chemo lottery that is. She was accepted into a clinical trial for Iniparib. I have access to a lot of journal information on this drug and it is VERY promising for treating triple Negative breast cancer that has metastasized.
Survival rates are almost DOUBLE for women who get Iniparib. That is truly promising.
Meanwhile.... she is keeping a smile on her face and a joke on her lips. She is taking each day as it comes and she has been blessed to have friends and family that can help out with the family and taking care of her.
I wish I lived closer.

I don't think anyone likes cancer. Especially a late stage, metastatic, or recurrent one. We found out that my aunt has pancreatic cancer. They cannot operate on it but she is receiving chemo. Her strength is amazing. She hasn't let the cancer ruin her life. She still comes to our weekly luncheons when she is feeling okay. I admire and love her.
What sister?! You only have one and that is my mom! Does my mom have cancer?!
I have other "sisters"... not just blood relatives. :-)
Well, clarify for me next time. ;)
I called her demanding to know if she was hiding cancer from me.
Where in AZ is your hubby? I'm in AZ, I could have him over for dinner if he has time.
He's in Yuma and he's working round the clock so he can come home fast. I think he's too far away from you. :-)
