Close call

George comes home tomorrow. In one piece I hope. Saturday he was three stories up on a building  with a bucket of cement in one hand and a bucket of water in the other. He had just put the buckets on the roof when the ladder slipped out from underneath him.

He grabbed hold of the gutter and cut his finger up.  Ended up falling three stories and hurt his arms, and legs. Got scraped up, bruised up. But luckily walked away from it.

He could have been hurt really bad. A three story fall is nothing to sneeze at.

Glad he is ok.

Love this group!

I have the best family. Ever. And we got to hang out at Lagoon this week. And I got to really be a grandma and watch my grandbaby on her first lagoon rides.

Awesome.

Fun.

The heat didn't hardly bother me. I was dreading the next day because I did a LOT of walking, and I picked baby girl up a few times which is a big no-no for my back. I thought maybe the next day I would not be able to move.

But I was just fine. My feet hurt. My back did not.

I wish the ones who were missing could have also come, but maybe next year. It was a lot of fun. And it's nice that I'm now not the ONLY Person who gets sick and dizzy on rides. NOW they understand where I'm coming from. Sort of.

And Baby Girl was a delight. She had lots of fun and even though she didn't get a decent nap she was a happy camper all day long.

Yep. Fun times. And it was David's 18th bday so we were able to get all together AFTER Lagoon and have some amazing cake, and play a game. (I didn't play but I will next time. It's hilarious).

Yep. Best. Family. EVER.

OW

I seriously have to go see my pain doc again. That's it. I'm done. Can't handle this. Sorry charlie. Over the counter stuff just does not cut it anymore.

I haven't had strong pain meds in 5 years now. But I'm at the end. I have to have some. Not daily. But for when my pain gets to levels beyond my ability to cope.

Like today.

Today would be a  good day for some serious pain meds.
