Hit a bit of turbulence in the diet.

Yeah, I am happy to say the scales have continued to go DOWN but it has been slow and in very small increments. Partly because my digestive system took a vacation.
Smooth Move tea took care of that. And it tastes good too! I got the chocolate flavor.
I have not even been eating all of my food. Last night I skipped my fruit. Today I have not had my breadstick.
Today is my "no injection" day and I am not hungry at all. If only that would last when I am totally OFF the injections. My fear is I will get ravenously hungry. I don't want that.
Well, I am at work and I promised I would not get on FB or this blog much at work. So I better get off now.

Saturday - How it Went.

I met George on Saturday. I saw him get off the train and I knew immediately it was him. We walked around temple square a little bit but it was absolutely FREEZING out. So we tried to find a quiet place to talk in the visitor's center, but that only worked for about 30 minutes because they have tours going through, and missionaries that approach you every ten minutes. Finally I said, "Let's just go to my house and talk." And that is what we did. For 4 hours.

Had a wonderful, wonderful time. He was a perfect gentleman. NO OCTOPUS. YEAH! That scored points in my book.

Will we see each other again? Oh yes. Most definitely.

I'm a happy camper!

David has been playing with his new camera and I am the focus of his photos.... oy.

Diet is going well. Day 16 and I am down 14 pounds. People are finally starting to really notice!

I admit it was kind of hard today not to eat a donut. Every friday they bring donuts to work from my FAVORITE donut place in West Valley.

OH MAN... they were part of my "load days" in the beginning of the diet. And I wanted one today SOOO MUCH.

But I ate my crab and cucumber and apple and I was full so the donuts did not look tempting anymore.

Work has been crazy busy this week. Half my dept is gone next week for usability testing of our prototype product. Keeping fingers crossed that the company starts making money. I don't want to be out of a job.

I'm very happy these days. Meeting George tomorrow. We have an all day date. Starting at Temple Square, and then Joseph Smith Memorial, and wherever life leads us. He is such an awesome guy. I'm really glad Keith set me up with him. I trust Keith completely. Up until meeting George.... I would have said Keith was THE most spiritual and humble person I have ever known. But George.... I think he tops that.

Knowing George has caused me to start reading my scriptures daily. Really READING and PONDERING. Because he loves to discuss gospel things and well.... I better know what I am talking about. Knowing George has caused me to start praying again on a more regular basis. Prayer is a HUGE part of his life.

He radiates a light, that just touches a lot of people. He's funny, and talkative, and just cool. He is not afraid to say what he thinks. Even if it shocks or offends people. He says what he thinks and it's the truth. He gets that bold streak ( I think) from when he used to be a Born again christian. I see some of that carry over into his Mormon life. I think it blows some fundamental mormons away. LOL. They are not quite sure what to think of him.

I think he's pretty cool. And can't wait to get to know him better.

This is how I feel.....

This is how I feel each morning when I wake up.
This is how I feel when I step on the scale.
This is how I feel when I talk to George.
And this is how I feel when I say my prayers.
Life is GREAT. 2010 rocks so far!

SUCCESS!

11 pounds gone! I fit into some jeans this morning that I could not wear 3 weeks ago. And they just slid on up with no problem. WOW! What a cool feeling!

I spent a few minutes this morning weighing out my chicken, beef and fish for the week and putting them in individual bags in the freezer so I only have to thaw one at a time.

I have to go get a new pair of tennis shoes. I have to wear an 8 now instead of an 8 1/2. Seriously, my shoes are TOO BIG.

I don't think I have EVER lost weight in my feet before. LOL

I feel really good. Except yesterday I had some serious intestinal issues, but I think that was because I ate raw sushi Friday night. I hope that's all it was. I rely on stevia to make this diet enjoyable and if that is what is causing my problem.... I'm not going to be too happy about that. Especially since I just ordered a bunch of the flavored drops to use in my food.

My kids are coming over today for dinner. I am making them shepherd's pie. I will be having a crusted chicken breast with sliced tomato and apple. mm mmm.

I look forward to each day because the scale keeps going D-O-W-N. It's soo cool!

Sweetest baby new year I ever saw!

This pic should win a prize. Afton is just the perfect little Baby New Year!

So... I have had so many days off that I can't remember what day it is. I hope I go back to work when I am supposed to. LOL.

Lots to do today. Really need to take the tree down. Do the laundry. Clean my closet.

Yet, I have been playing on the computer for 2 hours.

Well... what is vacation for anyway?
