Best Mother's Day EVER!

This is George with a 9 page letter I sent to him. I had written my testimony for him. He loved it. Read it several times.

Missed Bryttan though. She was home sick with strep. Poor girl. Oh well, NEXT year!!

Happy Birthday Melly Belly!

Look how tiny she was just a year ago! She looks like a little doll in Brian's arms.

Now she's standing! And walking!

And stickin' her tongue out!

And wearing barrets and suspenders!

How fast a year goes! How quickly a child grows!!!

My invention

Experimented the other night and came up with what Karin called "Amazing" cookies.

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups brown sugar

1 tea vanilla extract

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups coconut

1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup cinnamon chips.

Mix all ingredients together. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let sit on cookie sheet a minute or two before removing. \

I brought them to work and they were gone in a couple of hours. (I didn't sell them, I was offering freebies.... that's how I hook em into wanting more and then NEXT time I bring cookies... they are for SALE.) LOL.

It's funny... people at work tell me I walk around with a silly grin on my face all the time. And today one of them said, "Geez, Michelle... you've been smiling like that ever since you met George! He must be good for you!"

Yes! He is!

Rock N Roll

Right after I met George, we were having a really cool discussion one day about "signs of the times" and predictions, and doomsday type stuff. He said, (this was in January) that there would be 15 significant earthquakes really close together, this year. And that Las Vegas is going to be one of them.

Yesterday he texted me about the one in Spain. This morning about the one in China. By HIS counting.... there's been 7. But when I go to the earthquake site... it shows there has been 8 significant earthquakes this year so far:

Jan 3 - Soloman Islands - 7.1 magnitude.

Jan 10 - Northern California (off shore) - 6.5 magnitude (he doesn't count this one)

Jan 12 - Haiti - 7.0 mag

Feb 27 - Chile - 8.8 mag

March 8 - Turkey - 6.1 mag

April 4 - Baja Ca/ Mexico - 7.2 mag

April 13 - Spain - 6.3 mag

April 14 - China - 6.9 magnitude.

Creepy huh? And suddenly in the news Utah is once again pushing earthquake preparedness, and updating our 72 hour kits and so on.

I think George has a really strong intuitive sense.

And he gets these impressions from out of NOWHERE. For example, this morning he texted me: " Something completely wrong about many scenarios around me."

I said, "What do you think it means?"

He said, " It means trouble, turmoil ahead, you are going to get your share also."

I replied, "It's interesting you say that! JUST THIS MORNING I wrote in my journal that I felt a really strong need to 'stand in holy places.'"

(do you hear the Twilight Zone music?).....

SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have our ISO audit yearly. We were told in January that it would be in March. Since I am the Document Controller I am required to be at this audit. It's like the biggest thing we have except an FDA audit.

Fine. Well, then they changed the date to April. Ok. No problem. I made my plans to Kauai and I TOLD the person in charge "I WILL NOT BE HERE FROM MAY 27 THRU JUNE 1."

Well, April came and guess what? The audit was rescheduled AGAIN!! This time for June 2, 3. I get back to Utah on June 1st so I thought, "Ok... no problem. I will be sleepy, but I will be able to work those days."

Today we get a message that the audit HAS to take place May 31st to June 2nd. (This is MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY!!!) There is no changing it. There is no rescheduling. And even though it is a US Holiday and the company is closed..... tough.

I about flipped my lid!!!

I went storming in there and said, "Look, I gave you TWO MONTHS notice that I would be out of town. I am NOT changing my plans! Back when I made this trip reservation I was assuming the audit would be all done and over with by May!"

I offered to get whatever documents he needs ahead of time, but I need to know what the auditor will be asking for! So hopefully I can find out.

Oh that just ticks me off so much. I really need to be here, but there is NO WAY I am cancelling this trip. Nuh uh. No. Not happening.

YES!!!

So George is looking into booking us a helicopter tour of the island. Those babies are EXPENSIVE. It's like $500 for two people!! But we both really want to do it, so hey, if he wants to spend that kind of money.... ok by me. LOL.

I just hope I don't get airsick or anything. I better remember my Dramamine. My friend Lisa took a helicopter ride and got violently ill. Spoiled the whole thing.

Oh wow.... just look at this though. What an awesome view.


I sure hope we get to do it.
